- Nvidia paid $123M in cash for a 10-building office and research campus at 2348 and 2350 Walsh Avenue in Santa Clara, directly across from its headquarters.
- The acquisition adds to Nvidia’s aggressive real estate expansion, which included a 500K SF campus purchase and an additional lease of 100,600 SF in nearby San Jose over the past year.
- The move highlights Nvidia’s growth amid soaring demand for AI chips, even as competition from emerging players like China’s DeepSeek intensifies.
Nvidia is accelerating its Silicon Valley real estate spree, scooping up a 10-building Santa Clara campus for $123M, reports The Real Deal. The newly acquired 13-acre property at 2348 and 2350 Walsh Avenue sits directly across the street from the company’s global headquarters.
Another Big Bite
The latest deal comes only three months after Nvidia purchased a 500K SF office campus from the Sobrato Organization. That campus, located at 2701–2731 San Tomas Expressway, includes four 125K SF buildings and an adjacent parking structure, linked to Nvidia’s Headquarters via a pedestrian bridge.
The Details
While the exact SF of the newly bought campus wasn’t disclosed, the deal is part of a broader pattern. In December, Nvidia leased a 100,600 SF building at 300 Holger Way in North San Jose, adding to its growing real estate holdings. In May last year, Nvidia bought its eight-building, 550K SF headquarters for $374.3M in an all-cash deal.

Strategic Moves In AI’s Boomtown
Nvidia’s property spree near its headquarters reflects soaring demand for its AI chips for data centers and generative AI. However, the company faces rising global competition, notably from Chinese AI developer DeepSeek.
Why It Matters
Securing prime real estate allows Nvidia to consolidate its operations, expand research capabilities, and maintain its leadership in AI technologies. As the company’s market value and influence continue to grow, so too does its physical footprint in Silicon Valley.
What’s Next
Nvidia is likely to keep buying Bay Area properties near its headquarters to fuel expansion as the global AI race intensifies.
