- Indeed listed its entire 308,000 SF at Indeed Tower, 200 West 6th Street, for sublease, making it downtown Austin’s second-largest sublease behind Meta’s Sixth and Guadalupe space.
- Indeed plans to keep its Domain office and would consolidate workers there if a subtenant signs, citing hybrid work schedules.
- Sublease supply keeps rising even as CBRE reports occupancy gains, with new Class A space from Waterline Tower adding to vacancy and availability.
Indeed is offering all 308,000 SF of its Indeed Tower space at 200 West 6th Street for sublease, The Real Deal reports.
The Austin Business Journal says that makes it downtown’s second-biggest sublease block.

What Indeed Is Doing
The job search company, which is headquartered in the tower at 200 West 6th Street, first offered 10,000 SF across three unused floors in 2023.
It told the Austin Business Journal it will keep its other Austin office in The Domain. If a subtenant takes the tower, Indeed would consolidate staff there to better use both buildings for hybrid schedules.
Meta Still Leads
Only Meta’s offering at Sixth and Guadalupe is bigger. The company leased 589,000 SF it never moved into and has cut the available amount to a little over 456,000 SF.
A new 32,000 SF lease from InKind helps, joining The Malin, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Weaver and Tidwell as subtenants. Google is placing the six top floors of Sail Tower with Digital Realty, and Athenahealth passed 112,300 SF at Seaholm Power Plant to xAI.
Zoom Out
CRE Daily’s May brief on the sublease glut easing cited CoStar data showing sublease space down to 3.3M SF in April 2026 from about 4.4M SF in September. It also found eight listings above 100,000 SF made up more than half of what was available.
Indeed’s 308,000 SF now joins that group of big blocks that keep the market heavy.
Why It Matters
Meta’s block has shrunk from roughly 552,000 SF in September 2025 coverage to under 460,000 SF today, but large new listings keep arriving.
CBRE reported this month that Austin posted decent occupancy gains, though vacancy and availability continue to climb. The Real Deal ties much of that to Waterline Tower, which added more than 700,000 SF of Class A space.
What’s Next
Watch whether a single tenant can absorb a 308,000 SF block, or whether Indeed has to split it. The answer will show how much appetite exists for large downtown blocks.
