Northwest Bank Headquarters Takes Shape
Northwest Bank plans to use the purpose-built headquarters to support its long-term growth. The bank expects the 75K SF space to support roughly twice its current workforce by 2034. Additionally, Northwest Bank plans to open a dedicated financial center on the ground floor. That location will offer wealth management advisory services alongside the bank’s corporate functions. CEO Louis J. Torchio said the move supports growth and talent recruitment.
The Details
Northwest Bank expects an initial 15-year office lease at Bridge North. The Daimler Group is developing the project in Dublin’s Bridge Street District. The bank plans to relocate its headquarters there in the first half of 2029. Currently, Northwest Bank operates its headquarters in Easton, Ohio.
Dublin Ties Incentives to Hiring
Dublin City Council approved a performance-based economic development agreement for the relocation. Under the agreement, Dublin will provide 15% of net new employee payroll withholdings from 2030 through 2034. The city will cap payments at $460,000 over the five-year term. Additionally, Dublin will provide a $50,000 location grant after lease execution and issuance of an occupancy permit.
Central Ohio Expansion Continues
The headquarters plan follows Northwest Bank’s first financial center opening in New Albany, Ohio. That location established the bank’s consumer banking presence in central Ohio. Northwest Bank also plans four more locations in and around Columbus by Q2 2027. Meanwhile, the Dublin headquarters will add a corporate base to that regional expansion.
Why It Matters
The relocation combines office occupancy, hiring plans and retail banking growth in one central Ohio strategy. The move also reflects a broader rise in corporate headquarters relocations as companies reassess long-term office needs and growth markets. For Dublin, the incentive structure ties public support to net new employee payroll. Additionally, the 15-year lease gives Northwest Bank a long-term footprint in Dublin.
What’s Next
Northwest Bank plans to complete the move during the first half of 2029. The bank also expects workforce capacity to roughly double by 2034. Before then, Northwest Bank plans to open four additional Columbus-area financial centers by Q2 2027. Meanwhile, Dublin will provide incentives from 2030 through 2034, subject to the agreement’s performance terms.
