- DSV broke ground on a 750,000-square-foot contract logistics facility in Hillsboro that will support Oregon’s semiconductor supply chain.
- The project consolidates three existing Oregon operations into a single hub with specialized storage, AI-driven inventory management, and enhanced security features.
- The development underscores rising demand for industrial real estate tailored to advanced manufacturing and semiconductor production.
DSV is expanding its Oregon operations with a purpose-built logistics hub designed for the state’s growing semiconductor industry. The global transportation and logistics provider broke ground on a 750,000 SF warehouse in Hillsboro on June 17 that will centralize its Oregon footprint while increasing capacity for chip-sector customers.

A Bigger Bet on Oregon’s Semiconductor Industry
The Hillsboro project marks a strategic expansion for DSV as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026. The new facility will replace the company’s three existing operations in Sherwood and Tualatin, which together total about 385,000 square feet. By bringing those locations under one roof, DSV will nearly double its Oregon capacity while streamlining operations for employees and customers.
The Hillsboro Warehouse by the Numbers
The warehouse will include 750,000 square feet of contract logistics space tailored to semiconductor manufacturers. Plans call for a 40-foot clear height, 53 dock doors, dedicated storage zones for specialty semiconductor materials, and security measures including perimeter fencing and 24-hour video surveillance. DSV will also deploy an AI-driven inventory management system that provides customers with real-time visibility into shipments and stored materials. ARCO Design/Build is leading construction, with completion expected around July 2027.
Hillsboro Strengthens Its Industrial Supply Chain
The development adds another piece of infrastructure to Hillsboro’s established semiconductor ecosystem. The city has long served as a manufacturing and technology hub, creating demand for logistics facilities capable of handling sensitive, high-value products. City officials said the project supports the long-term vision for the Hillsboro Technology Park while reinforcing Oregon’s position in the semiconductor supply chain.
Why It Matters
Semiconductor growth is creating demand for more specialized industrial real estate beyond traditional warehouse space. Manufacturers increasingly need logistics partners that can provide secure storage, inventory visibility, and customized handling for critical materials. DSV’s investment signals confidence in Oregon’s chip sector and the long-term need for dedicated supply chain infrastructure.
What’s Next
Construction is expected to finish around July 2027, when DSV will transition employees and operations from its existing Oregon facilities into the new Hillsboro hub. As semiconductor manufacturing investments continue across the U.S., purpose-built logistics assets like this one could become an increasingly important segment of the industrial real estate market.
