Major Investment in Hotel Development
According to CoStar, Loews Hotels & Co. will build a 507-room hotel in Arlington, Texas, called Americana by Loews Hotels. The $500M project will replace the Sheraton Arlington Hotel on Convention Center Drive. It sits across from AT&T Stadium and near Globe Life Field, home to the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
Portfolio Grows in North Texas
This marks Loews’ third hotel in Arlington, joining the 888-room Loews Arlington Hotel and the 300-room Live! by Loews. With Americana, the company will manage 1,695 guest rooms in the city. Its Arlington portfolio will also include more than 374,000 SF of combined indoor and outdoor meeting space.
Project Scope and Timeline
The new hotel will include 39 suites and more than 83,000 SF of event space. A 10,000 SF event barn will anchor its meeting facilities. Demolition of the existing Sheraton will begin in early June. Loews has not shared a full construction timeline but remains confident in Arlington’s continued growth. The company also continues to expand elsewhere, with large-scale hotel investments underway near other major tourism and entertainment hubs.
