- Bed Bath & Beyond reopened its first brick-and-mortar store in Brentwood, Tennessee, under the new name Bed Bath & Beyond Home.
- Parent company The Brand House Collective converted an existing Kirkland’s Home location and plans six more Nashville-area conversions, with potential national expansion to 75 stores in 2026.
- The relaunch follows the brand’s 2023 bankruptcy and acquisition by Overstock.com, which later rebranded to The Brand House Collective.
- The company will accept all 20%-off coupons, even expired ones, as part of its strategy to draw shoppers back to stores.
Bed Bath & Beyond is making a comeback to physical retail nearly two years after its bankruptcy forced all store closures, reports Bisnow. On Friday, the home goods brand reopened in Brentwood, Tennessee, with a refreshed identity — Bed Bath & Beyond Home. The store’s debut marks the start of a Nashville-area rollout led by its new owner, The Brand House Collective.
A Calculated Comeback
The first location is a converted Kirkland’s Home store, one of several brands in The Brand House Collective portfolio. Six additional Kirkland’s Home stores in the Nashville market are slated for rebranding, chosen for their proximity to the company’s headquarters. If successful, the strategy could expand to as many as 75 locations nationwide in 2026.

From Bankruptcy To Rebirth
Bed Bath & Beyond closed all of its stores in 2023 before its intellectual property was purchased by Overstock.com, which later rebranded itself as Beyond Inc. Beyond provided $17M in debt financing to Kirkland’s Home in 2024. It acquired the brand’s intellectual property for $5M in May 2025. The company then rebranded the parent business as The Brand House Collective.
The company plans to maintain about 290 total locations across its Kirkland’s Home, Bed Bath & Beyond Home, and Overstock brands. This will be after closing select Kirkland’s locations.
Coupons And Competition
In a nod to its loyal customer base, the new Bed Bath & Beyond Home will accept all 20%-off coupons — regardless of expiration date. This promotional move comes amid a sluggish home décor market. The sector is challenged by a slow housing market and growing competition from Amazon, Home Goods, Walmart, and Wayfair.
Not The Only Revival
Bed Bath & Beyond’s relaunch joins a growing list of retail comebacks. Big Lots, which also filed for bankruptcy, began reopening stores earlier this year under Variety Wholesalers. The company now operates more than 200 locations in nine states.
Why It Matters
The return of Bed Bath & Beyond to brick-and-mortar reflects a broader retail trend. Even in an era of e-commerce dominance, physical stores can serve as hubs for community engagement, brand experience, and customer loyalty.
